If there is a story inside every cup, then this is a fairy tale come true. Inspired by a leap of faith, Gaylene Smith created Cafe Femenino as a project to connect and empower female coffee growers in origin countries, who have traditionally been offered few rights and suffer daily oppression and phisical or emotional abuse.

Currently there are 400 plus women growers involved with the Cafe Femenino project. Together they are producing some of the highest quality coffee we have seen. As proclaimed by Gaylene Smith, "the quality of the coffee must be superb, because that is the kind of women we are."
